Since 2006, theSapporo International Short Film Festival and Market has been held in Autumn every year. It features short documentaries, animated films, and dramas lasting from several to 30 minutes from countries around the world. Grand prix and other award-winning works will be shown at theaters in Sapporo. It is free admission for high school students and younger. There are some workshops for young short-film directors, a contest for the best one-minute film created within 24 hours. This is very interesting.
