Sapporo Pirka Kotan is called Ainu Culture Promotion Center that shows what Ainu culture is.

The museum has two facilities. One is inside exhibition displaying several Ainu items for their life such as clothes, house ware and hunting. Another exhibition is outside showing their house and other buildings.

This is the biggest museum in great Sapporo area. The museum is located along with the route to Jozankei Onsen. The area is called Koganeyu(小金湯), very famous for its hot spring/Onsen. Most of Sapporo citizen like Koganeyu Onsen. This is as good as Jozankei Onsen.

Anyway, in the museum, You are allowed to touch all displays with your hand not only looking. That’s why you can deeply understand Ainu culture and their life.
