Sumiyoshi Jinjya is the largest shrine in Otaru city. Many visitors go to the shrine for a new year. Sumiyoshi Jinjya shrine office is a historical building designated by Otaru city. The shrine had started about 150 years ago and was built in 1881 in this place.
