This is the event for starting making snow statues of Sapporo Snow Festival. From 7th to 15th Jan, 32,500 tons of snow are carried from the suburbs of Sapporo city to the venues of Odori Park. The ceremony is held at Odori 8 Chome, HTB square from 10:20 on 7th Jan 2015. Scaffolds are already settled in every sites for big statue. You will see many statues proceeding day by day. It is fun even if the statue is not completed. Sapporo Snow Festival will start on 5th February 2015 and ends 11th Feb 2015.
