This is a event for celebrating sister city relation between Munich and Sapporo, which was designated in 1972. The German Christmas Market in Sapporo started from 2002, the 30th anniversary of their relation ship. With many illumination by Sapporo White illumination, Odori park will be a hot spot even if in cold winter. There will be various shops such as food and goods venders at the main venue. Visitors can savor German specialties such as mulled wine and roasted almonds while shopping around for cute christmas decorations.

Events
Stage events and indoor events will be held at Odori 2 chome. Concerts such as choir, gospel and Christmas songs concerts. There is the pavilion at Odori 2 chome for indoor events. Bianca Fuerst, the Sapporo environmental protection advisor, will host workshops on making Christmas decorations and mulled wine, and the coordinator for international relations from Germany will hold mini German language lessons.
